Los chicos de Garnelenhaus regresan de Indonesia con un cargamento de información inestimable, así con fotos espectaculares.
Lo más interesante es un video del hábitat de C. cf. spongicola*, donde podemos observar a las coloridas gambas pastando sobre rocas cubiertas de algas plagadas de limos depositados sobre ellas. Esto confirma lo que hace unos días me comentaba el equipo de L´Aquari desde Nuremberg en el Interzoo tras hablar con la gente de Mimbon y los pescadores indonesios. Caridina spongicola es una pequeña gamba de color poco patente, pero de patrón similar a las que se están importando, también comentaron que ya se están criando en Alemania. Y precisamente en el blog de Garnelenhaus, podemos ver una pequeña fotografía de un juvenil.

The most interesting think is a video where we can see the environment of C. cf. spongicola*, you can see the shrimp grazing on the rocks full covered of green algae with lot of sediments on it. That is a confirmation about the L´Aquari team was telling me from Nuremberg in the Interzoo 2008 meeting after speaking with the guys from Mimbon and the fishers from Indonesia. The real C. spongicola is a low coloured shrimp with a little size, the specimen imported are full of colour and they live on rocks.
Another interesting thing, we can see a picture of a C. cf. spongicola juvenile.
